Atlantian Oceania Baseball League
In light of the fact that I know hardly anything about soccer, and that I will probably not participate much in the racing part of the board, I have decided to introduce a baseball league. We can have tournaments and whatnot, as well as a usual league winning a championship yearly. Basically here is the rundown
Roster: 22 Player Cap Suggested amount of players per postion... 6 Outfielders (Left, Center, Right field) 8 Infielders (First, Second, Third Bases, Short-Stop) 2 Catchers 5-6 Pitchers
Also the name of manager and owner of the team, and mascot. A home stadium would also be appropriate.
Later in the game it would be possible to introduce a salary cap with increasing salaries per year as a team performs well and a minimum salary. Right now this will not go into effect.

Baseball has been banned in the Tropics of Vilita so we will not be participating. The law does not apply in Turori, Or other outlying Islands. |

Hmm.....I think that 25-man rosters are standard.
Usually broken down something like:
5 Outfielders 5 Infielders 2 Catchers 3 Utilitymen 5 Starting Pitchers 5 Relief Pitchers
Nevertheless, however this shapes out, the Falcons would like to participate in any and all activities. Home games will be played in Jonus Belua Memorial Stadium. The team will be managed by Regnor "Sauce" Iuris. |

*wouldn't know a short-stop if one came up and caught him out*
Therefore I won't be signing-up, unfortunately. |

Trevor Brookley, Minister for Sports, Leisure, Art and Dossing About (and Lost Things), Is discussing the issues of the day with his chief advisor, Trevor Evans...
Brookley: "So what else have you got for me?"
Evans: "Well, Abattoir are holding a regional baseball championship."
Brookley: "Have we got a team in it?"
Evans: "Not yet, sir, but..."
Brookley: "Then get us one!"
Evans: "Sir, do you even know what baseball is?"
Brookley: "It's that one they play over the border that's like cricket, only they hold the bat the wrong way and wear pyjamas, even though you're less likely to fall asleep there."
Evans: "I mean, do you know the rules?"
Brookley: "You hit the ball, you run. How hard can it be?"
Evans: "Er, right. So does our team have a name?"
Brookley: "Well, they'll be playing in The Hole, and The Hole is in the Cefn-Mawr region, so why not the Cefn-Mawr Blackholes?"
Evans: "OK"
Brookley: "...and make sure our finest cricketers are picked for the team!"
Evans: "Sir, it isn't really that much like cricket."
Brookley: "Well, just get whoever, as long as we're competitive." |

Vice President for Health and Athletics Jimmy Marshall has been in discussions with the coaches of various college and semi-pro leagues across the country in the attempts to found a major league for baseball.
There are stadia capable of being homes to teams of major league caliber on the various university campuses throughout Sarzonia, but creating a true major league would take some doing.
However, we would be interested in working toward establishing such a league. |

The Crystils will likely send a team to this event if teams are needed. |

"Well, what have you found out?" Emperor Pedro III inquired of his Minister of Sports, Games, and Flotation Devices.
"Well, Your Most Excellent Magnanimousness, sire, it seems that there is a baseball tournament about to get underway in Abattoir."
"Baseball? Ah, one of the most popular sports in the Empire. We're participating, I take it?"
"Well, we haven't signed up yet..."
The Emperor shook his head. "Pfah! I should think that would be a given! Your job performance has been slacking lately..."
"Sire, I assure you..."
"Do we have a team?"
The Minister gulped. No, he didn't have a team ready. But another answer in the negative could cost him his head.
"Yes, of course. I have done that much."
"Then get out of my face and sign us up already!"
All too happy to get out of Pedro's face, the Minister immediately headed back to his chamber and made the necessary calls. |

We'll get this updated and the rosters made out after we the Olympics are completed. Don't want people to bite off more than they can chew, or try to RP more than they can handle. |
