The Cockbill Street squad will be announced here tomorrow. In the meantime, for all your other AO footballers, enjoy! The role-play thread is http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=483. The groups may be edited with links if I'm sufficiently bored. ** Please note that it is common practice for teams participating in the NS World Cup to field a roster of Reserve & Youth players in the AOCAF Competition, due to the star or first choice players being previously engaged in the ongoing qualifiers. Teams have received penalties for posting rosters identical to those used in the World Cup. ** Group 1 Sarzonia (4) Xile (10) Pedriana (12) South Ossetia (NR) Royal Engrand (NR) Group 2 Starblaydia (3) Crystilakere (6) Nova Britannicus (13) Cockbill Street (NR) Fmjphoenix (NR) Group 3 Turori (5) Druida (9) Legalese (11) Nojika (15) The Lowland Clans (NR) Group 4 Vilita (2) Lamoni (8) Krytenia (14) Chacor (20) Florianopolis (NR) |

The Starblaydia AOCAF6 Roster A Completely Different Team from the World Cup: A First For Us! Goalkeepers 1. Fernando De Marco, 27 - Corinthian Spirits (A) Has progressed from the back-up 'keeper at the last AOCAF to Number One this time. A very good shot-stopper, as you have to be when training with the samba style of the 'Spirits. 12. Thaddeus Gonzalez, 20 - Jhanna City ( ![]() The best young 'keeper in Starblaydia today, Thaddeus will surely be taking over the #1 jersey at some point. 19. Jessie Monteith, 27 - Penningworth United (C ) The only other natioanl 'keeper with any type of experience, Jessie was picked because Da Silva is 40 and hashas retired, while DeAngelo is still only 18. Defenders 2. Rigoberto, RWB, 27 - Jhanna United (A) One of four players to be given their first squad place since Under-21 World Cup 7, Rigoberto's ability to fly down the wing was once very much in fashion, but he was subsequently left out. One of the many hoping to prove themselves. 3. Fidel Khaif, LB, 23 - Tournetas ( ![]() Starting in his second AOCAF, Fidel will not be getting forward as much as Rigoberto, but he does have a decent long-ball ability. 5. Zachariah Loze, CB, 22 - Vecchio Victors (A) The Vics' Youth Academy just keeps on producing top, top players. Zak is the latest one to graduate and he's stylish on the ball and wins most in the air. Very talkative, would make a good captain in the future. 6. Armand Gianunzio, CB, 24 - Hecia (C ) Big and strong, like many Nemyans, Armand is the first line of defence, throwing himself into every challenge. 13. Metthew Tobias, CB, 23 - Montepool Waves ( ![]() His height lets him win most on set plays, but the Loze/Gianunzio partership is just too good to allow Matthew in. 14. Paulo Bachchan, C/LB, 27 - Jhanna City ( ![]() One of the many nearly-men of Starblaydi football, Paulo went to two World Cups. First as the left-man in a back-three, his non-specialisation with his defending allowed better men to overtake him. 20. Vengelis Koentas, LB, 27 - Hecia (C ) Just beginning to return to the form he showed before horrificly breaking his leg seven years ago, Vengelis' road to recovery has been a long one, rewarded with a place in the AOCAF squad. Midfielders 4. Fernando Branco, DM, 25 - Basian Valley ( ![]() One of the reasons why Basia haven't gone down is 'Nando, as he controls the midfield excellently. 7. Thanh Madray, Captain, LM, 21 - Iskara Daii (A) Debuted for the Daii at an early age, Thanh's first senior tournament sees him Captaining the side. Surely too high a burden for such young shoulders? 8. Ryan Kovac, R/CM, 20 - Hecia (C ) Industrious and hard-working, Ryan is burdened with the cliche of 'a great engine'. A neat crosser of the ball, he's powerful enough to withstand many challenges 15. Elroy Velasquez, C/LM, 25 - Hallad Reavers (A) Though fitting in well with Hallad's fast and powerful style of play, Elroy is somewhat delicate and is carrying a slight niggling injury which has forced him to face the fact that the bench may be his home this time. 16. Daniel Scott, DM, 33 - Vecchio Victors (A) Poor Dan, he's been around for so long but he's always been second-best to the Defensive-Midfielder spot. This looks to be his last chance at something big since he made is Under-21 World Cup 4 debut at just fifteen 21. Keiran Rabalais, DM, 19 - Hallad Reavers (A) Only inexperience is keeping young Keiran out of the Starting XI, as he'll certainly fight his way into it in the near future. 22. Stefanos Stantzos, AM, 24 - Tournetas ( ![]() Never a player for a commentator with a lisp, Stef has neer really clicked on the international stage. Forwards 9. Ilias Provatidis, SC, 23 - Hecia (C ) Like his team-mate Koentas, Ilias has not started an international game since Under-21 World Cup 7. Most commentators are somewhat dubious about giving the #9 shirt to someone who has scored precisely zero goals in his international career, but Ilias will be hoping to prove them all very wrong. 10. Julio Matis, SC, 25 - Penningworth United (C ) Long considered somewhat of an Understudy to 22-goal Marco Del Blanco, Julio will certainly be using his first chance as a main striker to rack up some more goals to add to his total of 6 so far. 11. Syku "Slani" Lyku-Agbayani, AM/SC, 19 - Kiiarana City (V Declasse) Joined Kiirana City along with SDB and Gbenga Ogunniya, half-Rejistanian "Slani" is learning his trade from the best that ever did it. 17. Zhorin Tumunzahar, SC, 16 - Widdrington Wolves (C ) The only Dwarf being sent to the 'Street, young Zhorin will be eager to get on the pitch and show the Anglicised Dwarves of the 'Street just what they've missed out on. 18. Eomer Hall, SC, 35 - Hallad Reavers (A) The real experience of this team, Eomer's 28 goals for Starblaydia show his true class, second only in the striking charts to SDB. 23. Isiah Sodek, SC, 16 - Tabeck FC (C ) This cheeky young striker and son of an AORDO Officer may be able to help Tabeck up from the basement of Starblaydi football. Either that, or they'll selll him for a lot of money. The Starblaydia AOCAF6 Formation (4-4-2 Diamond) ![]() |

Y (within reason - PM me first) Godmod Scoring Events? N Godmod other events? N The Incorporated Football Federation has announced that former Stars player Bryson Juergens would once again serve as the head coach of the second choice national team that will compete in AOCAF VI. He will be assisted by former Stars teammate and goalkeeper Kerry Tanner. He announced the team's roster for the AOCAF tournament (OOC: As usual, starters in BOLD): GOALKEEPERS 22 Marco Taglianetti (Randolph Reavers): Named most valuable player of the SFC, Taglianetti almost singlehandedly brought the Reavers to their first-ever SFC Cup title win. He will be counted on in the starting 11 with John Bartlett now pushing Troy Perkins on the first choice team. 26 years old. 36 Horace Sandt (Woodstock Wild): At just 22 years old, Sandt backstopped the Wild to a AO Champions League title. He may be in line for greater glory in the years ahead. DEFENDERS 14 Brian Henderson (Saugerties): This left halfback is often the player designated to mark the opposing team's best strikers. He has limited foot speed, but has great quickness and can anticipate through balls better than any other Sarzonian. He turned 31 last month. 17 Carlos Escandela (Portland Timbers): Had a hard time breaking into the Timbers' starting 11 due to the team's success, but didn't miss a beat when pressed into service at striker. Plays better as one of two central defenders, however. Turns 29 years old tomorrow. 23 Harry Epstein (New Jerusalem Nobles): A right halfback with offensive skills of an attacking midfielder, he has improved his previously weak defense to be at least respectable at the position. May push up in the event the team is trailing late. 32 years old. 7 Rod Taylor (Carthage Cannons): Taylor is one of the steadiest defenders the team has, and has helped the team to the lowest goals against of any team in the SFC. Unfortunately, the team's anemic offense kept the team out of the playoffs. Turned 31 last week. 31 Mark Bender (Nicksia): Plays sweeper for the Knights, but in a 4-4-2 formation, he's often relegated to the bench. If the Stars switch to a 3-5-2, he can step into the starting 11. 33 years old. 34 Antonio Marino (Wilmington Warhawks): Can play either defense or defensive midfielder for the Warhawks, but this 30 year old is better as a defender. MIDFIELDERS 12 Loren Butler (Carthage): Is often the player the Cannons ask to shut down opposing playmakers. During the league's All Star Game, the coaches there had him perform the same role. At 34 years old, he's still the best player at that role in the league. Team captain. 19 John De la Rocca (Randolph Reavers): He is one of the most dangerous left-sided players in the Sarzonian national league, and is second only to Darwin Russell for the best shot among all Sarzonian-born internationals. At 25 years old, still has a lot of potential ahead of him. 6 Darrell Bennett (Woodstock): Has been clocked with the fastest shot in the league at 125 km/hr. Accuracy may be a problem for him, and sometimes doesn't run balls down hard enough for the coaches. Otherwise, he'd have been a shoo in for the senior team. At 23 years old, the coaches hope they can mold him into a senior team player. 27 Josh Bentley (Braeden Bayonets): Bentley earned the playmaking midfielder position with steady if unspectacular play, but he has been known to score key goals for his team. He turned 25 years old last week. 77 Casey Bronson (Wilmington): Can play either flank midfield position well, but often tries to get too fancy if he's the playmaking midfielder. The 29 year old will only assume Bentley's spot in a dire emergency. 8 Rene Almejo (New Jerusalem): This 31 year old has scored some goals from free kicks with his educated right boot, but is too lackadasical on defense for the Stars coaches to risk putting him in the starting 11. FORWARDS 32 Bruce Badger (Randolph): A supersub with his club team, Badger is trying to establish himself as being capable of earning a full-time starting position at striker. Able to add some scoring punch in a pressure situation. Just turned 30. 10 Kevin Wilson (Joe Gibbs University): The younger son of senior team Coach Dave Wilson and the younger brother of team captain Brian, Kevin shares his brother's instincts on the pitch and may be even more of a heartthrob than his older brother. At 20 years old, may be a couple of years away from a permanent spot on either national team. 46 John Clinton (Braeden): Clinton starred for the Under 21 national team after replacing scoring legend Kenny Cooper but a last place performance at his last tournament left him with a bad taste in his mouth. Just turned 23. |

The Nova Britannicus Squad for AOCAF6 Only Jeremy McFarland has ever been selected for an international tournament before, as he was the third-choice Goalkeeper in the AOCAF5 Squad. Everyone else has precisely zero experience on the international stage, as Nova Britannicus like to form a young squad and chuck them in at the deep end. It worked with the current World Cup Squad, so why not with these chaps again?
