In order to keep this delegacy from becoming a dictatorship, I suppose I might as well throw my hat in the ring.

I know I have alienated some in the past due to military actions, but I hope we can look past this and into the future of Atlantian Oceania. Most, if not all of my military maneuvering was specifically aimed at livening up our regional message boards. This is what I try to do for this region, keep things interesting.

If I become delegate, I will do just that. I will attempt to get the region much more involved in various aspects of the regional board and make it much more functional than a place to post our sport RP's. Inter-regional organizations, alliance building, and economic decisions will become a part of our regional happenings. The main thing is, I will try to make it fun to participate outside of just deciding on your issues in NS.

I will carry on the tradition of voting with the voice of the region, much like Lamoni has done. I will however, post my own opinion about the matter and make it fall into more of a debate like format. Everyone loves an informed decision.

If I do become delegate, I will role-play the position more in the region. I will not simply be a nation, and a delegate on the side, but will incorporate it into RP aspects. I will make the AORDO and Regional Council much more involved, we will have treaties and resolutions involving trade, border disputes, the sky is the limit. They will no longer be ill-used portions of the board.

These are reasons I should be elected delegate. Not because you agree with all opinions I hold, - you will be the deciding factor on my voting - but because I will try to advance our region beyond our reputation for a great sporting region. We will be a great region overall. I would appreciate your comments, and your vote in the upcoming election.

Nice. This should get interesting.

I don't know if this will help him or not, but Abattoir will be officially supporting Xile in the upcoming election. We do not believe Lamoni has done anything outstanding as UN Delegate, except allow voting on issues. It's time for a change.

Sorry I didn't bring this up before, but it slipped my mind.

My puppet nation is currently in the United Nations, which is why I withdrew from it. Trying to stave off an invasion in a friend's region and will be able to rejoin the UN with Xile in a few days, once things are secured.

"I will be supporting my Xilean colleagues in their drive to become the Regional Delegate for Atlantian Oceania."

Thanks for the support guys biggrin.gif

I would also like to take this time to point out that my campaign is not a personal attack on Lamoni in any way. I think he did a great job holding us over after we lost Crys as delegate. I do think that now is the time to move forward though. Right now we seem to be just laying in wait, but it doesn't seem apparent what we are waiting for.

The initiatives I will take are for the betterment of the region. I want to get us all involved again. I want to sustain that involvement that comes from such actions as military conflict, but without using armed force as a catalyst for it. Involvement at various levels is what I am aiming at with this. It might be rocky at first, but once we set a precedent for actions in the Regional Council and the AORDO, they will become much more functional, and very vital for the role-play of the region. I want it all to come together here for us.

Not to mention keep our sporting players in the NS forums. I hear you guys are owning up in some 'football' over there wink.gif

Apart from being down with pneumonia for a week, and now having some VERY important stuff coming up, I was looking forward to the delegacy. I'm sorry to say, I will have to withdraw. I expect to run in one of the next few elections, but as of right now time and health do not allow me to do so. Sorry, hope Lamoni follows through on his promises!
