re: AOCAF V Hosting

Legalese would like to offer their stadia as a host for the Fifth Version of the AOCAF. We have suffience stadia, most built/refurbished in the last 5 years, as well as the infrastructure to support the anticipated 16-team tournament.

Should Legalese be chosen as hosts, our format shall work as follows:
12 teams: 4 groups of 3, play each opponent twice. top two from each group advance to the knockout stage, which will include two-legged quarter and semi final rounds, and a one-leg final at The Castle, in Legalese City.

14 teams: 2 groups of 7 will both be invited to Legalese for the group phase. They will play one match against each opponent, with the top 4 from each group advancing to the 8-team knockout phase, as described above.

16 teams: 4 groups of 4, with two-legs per opponent in the group phase. This will be followed by an eight-team knockout phase, as described above.

If there are an odd number of teams/more teams that 16 involved, the LAFC will adjust the format in a fashion similar to the above.

*coming later-scorination explanation, as well as a look at possible stadia for the tourney*

With Chacor deciding not to complete the AOlympic Winter Games, we officially submit a bid.

Scorination Method: Leagion 0.0.9a
Structure: For once, we'll try (although prolly unsuccessfully) not having a group stage.

12 teams: Split up into three regions. Knockout phase (single leg) to get 3 winners, who will play in a group phase final round, meeting each other twice.

14 teams: 2 groups of 7, top 4.

16 teams: Straight knockout (2 legs)

18 teams: 3 groups of 6. Winners go on to play group phase final round.

20 teams: 4 groups of 5, winner qualifies for semifinals.

Update on the Legalese AOCAF V Bid:

Scorinator: Same as AOCAF IV, with possibly minor tweaks (I just got a copy of it, and I'll look it over)

Scornation method: Leagion 0.0.9a

Thanks for posting that twice, though for those not in the know, Leagion is a Java-based Scorinator created by top footballing nation Rejistania.

The AOCAF Scorinator that was used last time is M$ Excel-based.
