"And we're back - NANN's coverage of the first AOlympic games continues as we go through a preview of the first day's events. I'm Graham Palin, thank you for joining us." "One of Ainorpisp's often-overlooked sports is cycling - despite the fact that a majority of Ainorpispians say they at least ride a bicycle 'very often'. Tomorrow sees the cycling qualifiers for the sprint, which includes Ainorpisp's multi-purpose cyclist, Natisha Kolker. After training for the Ainorpispian national cycling championship, she suffered an injury that kept her out of the race. Now, she seems to be back to competition-shape and will try to post a time fast enough to send her to the head-to-head rounds." |

"...du Chaux, Gomez and Shuk are the men to beat in the Velodrome, with Starblaydia expected to mount a strong challenge for all three disciplines of Sprint, Road Race and Pursuit. Six cyclists will be trimmed from the twenty-two entrants in the Sprint and you'll be able to see all of that action by using our interactive service. Just press the Purple Button on your remote control for SCB Interactive..." |

"This is one of the few events that Chacor is not competing in, however, Tim Sony has made his way to the cycling track, and Tim!" "Hello, yes, this is indeed one event where Chacor is not participating, however we definitely will still have coverage! I can tell you - the crowd favourites for this event's qualifiers are the two local heroes! Watch out for them!" |

"Let me tell you though Farik, this Nicolo Alicicco is one helluvan athlete, he's come back from the Eagles Cup where he was a backup for the Vilitan National Football team there to come back and Cycle here in the Olympics. If he were a bit younger we might have even seen him on the Vilitan Olympic Cats team, but alas he is not." "Yea Nicolo is a great athlete, but I don't think he's the one we should be looking at from Vilita." "Oh no? Who do you suggest?" "Semafole Morask. The lad is just amazing on a bike. He was second to Aliciccio in the qualifiers, but with Nicolo out travelling with the Football squad, Semafole has certainly caught up to him through hard training and discipline, and I would not be surprised to see him perform best of the Vilitan contingent." |

Morask Does not Dissapoint Krytenia -------- Vilitan Cycling favorite Semafole Morask only proved the pundits right in todays Cycling sprint qualifiers, after turning the fastest time among the 22 cyclists competing for the final 16 spots. Morask's time edged out Starblaydas Marcel DuChaux by nearly a tenth of a second, with fellow Vilitan Cyclist Nicolo Alicicco in third. ------ Morask will face Pedriana's Broderick Coponen in the first head to head round, the Pedri being the slowest of the 16 to qualify for the head to head stage. The other two Vilitan's, Alicicco and Morsa Moreda, will go head to head, guaranteeing at least one Vilitan in the quarter finals. Moreda will be dissapointed with his time that was some 6 tenths off Morask's fast pace. |

"...All three Starblaydi cyclists managed to get into the head-to-head rounds, though they are all in the same half of the draw. Marcel Du Chaux, who was sandwiched between two Vilitans for the second-fastest time, will ride off against second-slowest Qualifier, Starblaydi Jin Hi Shuk. Should either of them make it that far, they might even have to face Hector Gomez in the Quarter-Final, meaning that there's only one Medal available for Starblaydia in this event, at best..." |
