Atlantian Oceania's very own Golden League will have it's first meeting in the Starblaydi Captial city of Jhanna. The 96,000 capacity Jader Barbalho Stadium

The following events are available for entry. A Maximum of three named athletes per individual event are allowed, of course relays require 4 competitors. You do not have to fill up every event.

In future Golden League meetings, other events (e.g. Field events like long jump, pole vault etc may be added, but for now it's just the track, as that's all I can currently do with my scorinator)

The ASMV track team is looking forward to the many medals they will win in this Golden League event. And also offers its sympathy to those teams that it will beat on the track in advance. We fully expect to win this event, as we can run faster than we can bull-explicitive removed- about running fast.

You may be able to run faster, but we have the endurance. anything more than one lap is ours, buster.

OOC: Do we have any idea when the Golden League is actually going to start?

Posted by: Krytenia Nov 4 2005, 07:25 PM
OOC: Probably when Star gets the bugs out of the scorinatior, and/or has a decent amount of free time.

Best guess: Give it 7-10 days.

Star, have you abandoned this competition?

I didn't abandon it, I swear. I just looked away for two seconds at some other threads and then it was gone. Honest.

I should attach a leash to it, or something *sigh* just... gimme some time. Again.

If it's not too late yet - and our Minister of Defense really hopes it isn't - King Alfons of Spruitland would like to compete in the Marathon. That'd be the Men's Marathon, just to be absolutely clear.
We do hope there will be medical teams stading by, right? His Majesty claims he is in the form of his life, but he has been known to exaggerate slightly.

Kry (as you may have guessed) now controls this wonderful thing, so badger him, Ahh, a good laugh..

Gonna keep the signups open for a while longer, whilst I set up the NS Champions League (still 2 places left, plug plug) and wait for the results of the Cherry Cup vote.

This could mean me hosting THREE sporting events simultaneously. I am, indeed, mental.

Posted by: Starblaydia Jan 7 2006, 06:12 AM
Yes, you are mental, but not as much as KN, who's letting you host the CC.

Right. With the Cherry Cup and NSCL now in their knockout stages, I am going to RESTORE! the Golden League. Anyone still interested, please raise your metaphorical (or else left or right) hand. (Also, type that you are doing so with the other one.)

King Alfons' brand new sneakers have been collecting dust in the Royal Closet and, while His Majesty's attention span is normally rather short, it seems he has - unfortunately - not forgotten his application to compete in the Marathon.

(OOC: when "scorinating" the marathon, feel free to give the King an adequately negative skill-bonus or something, or multiply his time by a factor of two or three, or whatever. It'd be rather silly to have him finish in a professional time. smile.gif
