"...so, Barry, what can you tell us about the Diving?"

"Well Trey, its more about gymnastics than Swimming, we just end up in the water. We have to dive off a board either three or ten metres in the air and perform a series of acrobatic moves, pikes, twists and the like, and we get scored on all those, plus our entry into the water and the ammount of splash we throw up."

"So a Running Bomb wouldn't score many points?"

"No Trey," he smiles, "it wouldn't, unlike the advert."

"Barry Conley, thankyou and good luck for the Diving..."

"... and now we go to Julian Wells, the Lamoni diving champion. Julian, what do you think of your chances in the competition," asked LBC corespondent Mark Gilian.

"Well, i'll just have to do my best and hope that that is enough. I've seen tapes of the others, and i'm glad to be able to show them what I can do.

"Thank you Julian, and good luck."

"Thanks..."

"... In LBC's 3m springboard diving coverage, Lamoni contestant Julian Wells was knocked out of the competition with a dissapointing score of 196.00 ..."

Posted by: Aquiliana Sep 1 2004, 06:13 PM
"Well, it looks like Aquiliana's Tholus Asanto just barely eked out a spot in the finals of springboard diving, with only 2 more points than the next-highest competitor, Turori's Ichi Moa. We'll see if he can step up his performance in the final round."

"Pedriana are on the medal board! After scraping into the final by less than three points, Earl Logue did not fail to impress. Several 8.5s and 9.0s awarded to him by the judges on his final dive were just enough to push him up into the top three past Starblaydia's Barry Conley and Peter Saint-André of host nation Krytenia to take home the bronze medal, Pedriana's first in these AOlympics.

NEWI Cefn Druids' Trevor Yates won the gold, beating Vilita's Moraioa Ingovoak by just over a point. Ingovoak received the silver medal."

"Well, they've been neck and neck all the way through, and it has come down to the last dive. Ingavoak has had the advantage of knowing what has been needed all the way through, and he knows that he really needs to nail this two and a half somersaults with twist to win the gold. You can feel the tension..."

*BOING.......SPLASH*

"...oh, and that entry wasn't the greatest we've ever seen, it's going to be tight... no he hasn't done it, a terribly disappointing mark from the judge from Crystilakere, and that means that Trevor Yates, for NEWI Cefn Druids, has won the gold! And look at that, he's jumped back in in celebration! Trevor Yates, you are AO Olympic Champion!"
