| The Free Republic of Lamoni proposes that AO host it's own version of the olympics (since the RL Olympics start on Friday). Lamoni would like to know two things. One, whether you support a regional olympics, and two; who would like to host such an event. As for the actuall events, the host nation and Lamoni (with help from Vilita, to make it official) will decide those. Suggested events include: Basketball, Track and field events, Baseball, Soccer, American Football, Swimming, gymnastics, and Triathalon. |

| Sounds like a good idea. If we can get a few nations interested, it has serious potential. Ah what the hey. I'd even HOST the damn thing. |

| I think an Olympics could work, but some serious scorination programs are needed, one for each event, almost. I'd still like to enter and win some medals though. Oh and i think replacing the Yank Football with something actually in the RL Olympics would be best. Hockey perhaps? |

| This is defintely a winning idea. However, if it's going to be a Summer Olympics, hockey maybe shouldn't be included. (unless you meant field hockey ) |

I've been working on a 100m Sim in excel and end up with results like this:
There's still some bugs that need to be worked out, but its coming along nicely can can very easily be adapted to anything else that involves races. |

Looks just a bit slow. About half the competitors should be at 10.0 or less, since this is a world competition. |

| First of all, sub-10 seconds is a brilliant time for 100m and athletes dont tend to make the world record runs until the final. The Excel Sheet I'm working with can be easily tweaked to reflect the fact the better athletes get further in the competitions. I'd suggest limiting the events to the big money, hugely impressive 'main' events and other ones that AO nations desperately want to compete in. |

| The problem with holding an olympics is, of course, the massive number of events involved. We'd never dream of hosting such an event, but if anyone else is crazy enough to hold it, then we'd be sure to enter. |

| Possibly they could be co-hosted? Maybe Split up hosting by landmass, like one time host it on the blue land mass, another on the yellow... etc...etc... So If my landmass were to host then both me and Sarzonia would do scores. |

| I'm assuming Football=Soccer and not What we Americans are corrupted with? Needing clarification before My vote. And why do we need Softball AND Baseball? Note to Hosts: Vilita WILL win the 110 Hurdles. We have the Best Hurdlers in the world. |

Football=Soccer, yes. Softball is, as in the RL Olympics, the women's equivalent of baseball, hence both in. Also, I think having an "IOC President" would help, controlling which events are in, etc. |
