AO Forum :: > Regional Discussion > SAAS Invited To Everton City

TO: The Esteemed Leaders of Starblaydia, Abattoir, Xile, Nova Roma, and Nojika
FR: Chairman Andrew Hessenthaler

Hope this message finds you all well. With the neutralisation of Latao almost complete, I believe it would be prudent to meet and discuss how this situation could be used to our advantage. This is a great chance to tip the balance of the region in favour of our six nations, and I for one do not want this opportunity to slip by.

In addition, I also think it would be worth discussing the merits of inviting the nation of Sarzonia into our enclave. President Sarzo has been an ally of our nation for many years, and their political and military strength would be a useful addition to the SAAS.

Andrew G. Hessenthaler
Chairman Of Krytenia
Protector-General Of Nova Mercia

Slowly entering the Emperor's throne room overlooking the capital of Nojika, Grand Vizier Baskar bowed and began to speak. "My Lord. Hessenthaler of Krytenia has called a meeting for all S.A.A.S. member nations. Shall we send a representative?"

"Yes. Inform Lord Kahal immediately that he shall go to Krytenia."

"Yes my Lord."

Mr. Hessenthaler,

Imperator Tyrannvs will be more than glad to attend an SAAS meeting in your Everton City. Of course, understand that the Praetorian Guard will accompany him; security is of utmost concern to the Imperator.

Sincerely,

:Consvl Gaivs Marivs

Consvl Marivs,

We are well aware of the needs of the Nova Roman delegation. Transportation, lodgings, etc. have been arranged, however we do request that the Guard liaise with the Krytenian security detail so as to maximise the security of the location.

Royston Lacatus,
Chairman's Aide

President Lauir had taken his week of recuperation well, and was eager to get back to work.

He quickly sat down to write a response to the Krytenian chairman.

Honorable Chairman Hessenthaler,

We would be glad to attend the event. The usual security detail will be arriving to rendezvous with your own guards within the next day, and you can expect me in two days time, at 10:00am. I hope these talks will be beneficial to the alliance, as well as the causes of our respective nations.

He personally signed the statement and handed it to an aide to be sent promptly to the Krytenian government.

Get Sarzonia to join the Strategic Alliance? Tiberius thought to himself in the comfy cabin of his private jet on the hop over to Krytenia, but they hate our guts, don't they? It's like our view of Lamoni, only with less laughter, pity and sarcasm.

"My Lord," the Air Force colonel said, "we will be making our final approach in just over an hour."

"Thankyou Colonel."

Posted by: Abattoir Jun 7 2005, 08:14 PM
Tariskany quickly scanned the letter and turned to one of his aides. "Tell Mr. Hessenthaler that I will personally be attending the meeting, and should arrive in one days time."

[OOC: Let's get this show on the road.]

Six storeys beneath the Chairman's residence, Capital House, Andrew Hessenthaler leafed through his notes. The delegations were scheduled to arrive soon, and the Chairman was eager to begin. He poured himself a glass of Petruzzi Red Bear Vodka, and sipped, enjoying the unusual mix of neat vodka and strawberry. He sat, and pondered a while.

A few moments later, the door opened, shattering his reverie.

Posted by: Starblaydia Jun 8 2005, 06:27 AM
Tiberius swung the door open and stepped through, he always liked to make an entrance, though he thought he heard something old and nostalgic smash as he took his grand steps into the underground meeting place.

"Chairman Hessenthaler," he said warmly, "pleased to meet you at last."

Posted by: Neo Atlantica Jun 8 2005, 05:05 PM
Tariskany walked into the room and noticed a large mess on the floor where apparently a vause or something of the sort had been broken. He took note of the two men in the room, one obviously Tiberius Starblayde. So that meant the other had to be Chairman Hessenthaler.

"Howdy Gents."

Above is me...-explicitive removed-ing Xile keeps logging me out.

Posted by: Xile Jun 8 2005, 07:01 PM
Adonis walked briskly down the hall, eyeing the guards suspiciously. It'd take him a while to get over the whole kidnapping ordeal, but he was not one to hold a grudge. For too long, anyway.

Adonis walked in the room and noticed the three men standing before him. He gave them a slight nod and quickly sat down beside the waiting chairman. He removed a glass from his coat pocket, and helped himself to the Petruzzi. He gulped down the generous portion heartily and shook his head slightly.

He slammed the glass down. "Now that, gentlemen, is more like it. Nice to meet you, Chairman. Oh, and hello to you others as well." With a playful smile, he refilled his glass and prepared to wait for the other two members to arrive.

Posted by: Krytenia Jun 8 2005, 10:18 PM
Hessenthaler nodded. "President Lauir, a pleasure to meet you in the flesh. While you're here, I have something of interest." He handed Adonis a dossier. "Kori Davis, currently in one of our maximum security prisons. Yours to do with as you see fit."

He turned to the Starblaydi leader, then looked at the broken...object d'art.

"Nice shot."

As the doors opened slowly, two individuals covered completely by a crimson red robe and mask stepped into the room, paused, and turned towards one another. A pair of Nojika's elite Royal Guard. After a brief moment, Lord Kahal stepped into the doorway and paused between the two gaurds to observe the occupants of the room. Moving further into the room, he began to speak; and completely ruined the stern and tyrannical image he often appears to possess, not to say however, that he is not...

"Very good then. When should the remaining parties be arriving? I also hope the presence of my gaurdsmen will not be a problem."

Posted by: Starblaydia Jun 9 2005, 07:27 AM
Tiberius rolled his eyes at the presence of the guardsmen, if a national leader required guards in this situation, what kind of Alliance did they really have? Besides, one should be able to take care of himself.

"I am not averse to their presence, but are they really needed?" Tiberius asked. "But we should get down to business. I see Omsec's nation is now in turmoil."

Posted by: Nojika Jun 9 2005, 05:28 PM
Feeling as though Tiberius had insulted him personally and Nojika, Lord Kahal interjected, "If I may, sir. If these men are going to become a problem, I can surely send them away. They are not here just as gaurds, but they are a symbol of the Nojikan government and the Emperor himself. Not only do they serve as a symbol of my country, but it is our national law that they be required to be with the Emperor and myself at all times. Again, if they cause a problem, I can send them away."

Lord Kahal looked over to the gaurds standing along the wall. Still, silent, and glowin red. Turning back to Tiberius and the rest of the SAAS leaders he began to speak again, "Now, if they are not a problem, I suggest we begin this meeting..."

Posted by: Krytenia Jun 9 2005, 07:38 PM
Hessenthaler looked at the guards. "No point getting shirty over this. Let's just keep the nice men where they are, and get on with it."

"Now, as you are all aware, the Latin defences are hanging on by a thread. With Starblaydi and Abattoirian forces leading the way, this would be a great opportunity for all six of our nations. What I propose is to remove Omsec from power, and use the land as a base of operations for our concerns. Getting hold of the Lamonian weapons could also be useful; it never hurts to have intel on a rival nation - or more nuclear weapons for that matter."

The Chairman scanned the five faces in front of him.

"Of course, this is merely a suggestion..."

Posted by: Nova Roma Jun 9 2005, 08:53 PM
Imperator Tyrannvs pushed the doors open, glanced across the room, and picked up with the conversation as he lowered himself into a chair next to Tiberius.

"Removing Omsec from power could, indeed, prove to be a valuable step in... securing, Latao for SAAS control. However, as the nation is already destabilized and in turmoil as it is any removal would have to be official and legislated properly. Assassination or accidents of any kind might supply guerilla cells with a catalyst of sorts; the kind they need to begin their attempts at seizing control of Latao before we do."

Posted by: Starblaydia Jun 10 2005, 01:51 PM
"Getting that crazy Omsec mofo out of power was the original aim of this little miltary action we took," Tiberius said, "plus the nukes in his possession, of course, which are..."

He was interrupted by a soft beeping coming from within his jacket. Taking the tiny computer out of his pocket, he tapped a couple of buttons and read the message received.

"Well, gentlemen, it appears that the nukes are no more, thanks to Matt Stone, of all people. Now we just have to get Omsec out."

Posted by: Krytenia Jun 10 2005, 02:04 PM
"Stone?" The Chairman looked surprised. "Well, at least now we know the Lamonians have some sense..."

His words were interrupted by an aide walking through the door.

"Hang on, it appears a leader's work is never done."

He took the telephone, listened, and answered. "Thanks for the info, Admiral, which I've just received from the STARBLAYDI LORD-PROTECTOR sitting opposite me! Now do not disturb me again! Got that?"

Andrew chuckled. "Can't get the staff these days. Now, about Omsec..."

Posted by: Starblaydia Jun 10 2005, 05:27 PM
Tiberius chuckled too, making a mental note to say 'thankyou' to Inquisitor Fursifio for his swift action. Starblaydi Inquisition: One, Krytie Intelligence: Nil he thought to himself. Fursifio was doing a good job with Lady Viannor away, and upstaging Krytenia's finest was only the latest of his achievements.

The Omsec situation was a problem, however, they couldn't just waltz in, manhandle him off to a Xilean prison and install a Strategic Alliance-backed ruler in his place. Daily intelligence reports, however, were showing that Latao's government was falling apart piece by piece, thanks to the daily bombardment of Latin shores and bases.

The Strategic Alliance, well, mostly just Starblaydia and Abattoir, stood at the brink of vanquishing another government and perhaps even bringing another frighteningly-large economy under their wing. They just needed to take the oppurtunity to do so, whenever it might arise.

[OCC: sorry for using ur name, but i don't see any other role that would fit here tongue.gif]

Tiberius also wondered, what the destiny of the Latao diplomat personal anywhere in other countries should be...Should we let them return to their country, though they were serving the old regime or should we also put the ones into jail we didn't yet ? Could they even be any useful to us ?

Posted by: Starblaydia Jun 11 2005, 03:03 PM
Tiberius opened his mouth again, completely unbidden.

"What should we all do with the Latin citizens within our own nations, diplomats and the like? Should we let them return to their country, even though they were serving the old regime or should we just sling them into jail? Could they be of any use to us?"

Tiberius closed his mouth again, quite worried as to where the words had come from. An interesting idea, wherever its source had been.

Posted by: Krytenia Jun 11 2005, 05:16 PM
Looking over his Starblaydi counterpart, a visage of concern came over the Chairman's face.

"Tiberius? Everything OK there?"

He spotted the puzzled look of Imperiator Tyrannus in the adjacent seat.

Two people called Tiberius. Must remember this, he mused.

Posted by: Starblaydia Jun 11 2005, 05:51 PM
"Um, fine, thankyou, Andrew," Tiberius said. He looked around the room at Tyrannus, Tiberivs, Adonis, Andrew and Antoine, "I guess the muse just popped on my shoulder for a moment. So what should we do with them?"

Posted by: Krytenia Jun 13 2005, 11:57 AM
Andrew mused himself for a moment. "Repatriation should work, if carefully done. I think each nation should have its own policies on this though."

Posted by: Krytenia Jun 24 2005, 05:11 PM
An aide rushed into the chambers. He handed the Chairman a piece of paper.

"Hmm. Interesting." Hessenthaler looked up at the other people in the room. "Gentlemen, we have interesting news. It appears that the nation of Khazaron is having trouble with democracy loving rebels. And the 'neutral' nation helping them resolve this? LAMONI!" He thumped the table for effect. "What do you propose we do?"

Posted by: Nojika Jun 24 2005, 05:33 PM
After a few brief moments of silence, Lord Kahal stood and spoke.

"Surely if Lamoni is considered to be a 'neutral' party in the situation in Khazaron, then the SAAS should also be. So, why not send SAAS representatives to Khazaron to help ease the situation our way. I'm sure that if Khazaron were to join the SAAS, it would not hurt our alliance in any way."
