| The Democratic Empire of Footballia formally requests permission to annex the unclaimed land to the south of the Empire. There are several million (a number which we hope to count assuming our petition is granted) individuals living in this large area. These individuals, according to a careful DNA test performed on a war party captured by our border patrols, are of the same race as the Rorçn, the indigenous race that inhabited to the land that is now our Empire, and that currently reside in peaceful harmony with the Footballians throughout the Empire. The Empire, and especially the Rorçn population, wishes to annex this land and to give the natives here better lives. Many of the natives here die young, of simple diseases easily curable in the Empire. We believe that we can save these people, and that it will be better in the long run for them to have the ability to receive basic healthcare, as well as the privilege of being citizens of the Empire. They having no organized government, our nation has not signed any specific treaty of annexation; however, with very few exceptions, our Empire is on amicable terms with the natives of this region. The Rorçn living within our borders have also expressed their desire for their brothers to join them. The terms which our Empire humbly submits to the region, and those which many tribes have expressed little, if any, opposition to when shown, are as follows: 1. The land shall be divided into territories and governed accordingly 2. The natives shall be treated with the respect owed to other human beings 3. The natives shall be naturalized as Footballian citizens, with all the rights so received 4. The territories of this land shall be able to follow the due process towards provincehood 5. | OOC: For this expansion, in a word, 'No'. You've been in this region five minutes and had your land allocated in the last week. No expansion. |

| Could anyone at least give feedback on whether it was a good one, if a little (or a lot) rushed? |

| 1) A little searching in the Map Archives would tell you that that bit of land used to be a much-larger Druida, so the people there - such as they are - would have been Druidish rather than just 'natives' 2) Its a little short, for me, and too simple. 'We want to take this place over, and the people love it', there's no sort of actual opposition inherent in taking over somewhere that's completely untouched by nations. Oh, and this also means that Rorçn and Druidans are the same people, Ahh, a good laugh.  |
