Posted by: Chacor Jul 6 2006, 08:23 PM |
Official statement, Djacor-Rysonian government: The region of Djacor-Rysonia has decided to secede from the Democratic Republic of Chacor. The new nation will temporarily be led by Albert Préval, with the capital Túva. The Republic of Djacor-Rysonia now on this day the 1st of March, 2143 Chacor time, declares full independence. The government will seek entrance to the SAAS. Official reaction from Chacor The Governments of Chacor and Liverpool England fully condemn this action, and will not recognise this breakaway state. As far as the Deocratic Republic is concerned, the region of Djacor-Rysonia is still very much an important part of Chacor, and will continue to be run under Chacoran law. The Government of Chacor hope that foreign governments will condemn this action, and that the SAAS reject any possible application from Djacor-Rysonia.. |

The Government of Djacor-Rysonia reject Chacor's claim to sovereignity over our rightful land. Our residents have been asked to choose citizenship between Djacor-Rysonia and Chacor. Should they choose the latter, they will be thrown out of our borders and belongings confisicated. The Chacoran and Liverpool England Governments should consider their next moves very wisely. We invite other nations to officially recognise our sovereignity. We also warn Chacor that in expectation of this event, we have built up a small nuclear arsenal - but bigger than Chacor's non-existant one. |

To: Chacor, Djacor-Rysonia, and the Nations on Atlantian Oceania: In the interest of regional peace and security, the Government and Nation of Casari feels that it is in the best interest of the region and the nations involved that any political issues be peacefully through diplomatic methods. However, based on the current regional situation and the tension between the Strategic Defense League and the SAAS, it is the feeling of this government that the deployment of SDL troops to an area which is asking for enrollment into the SAAS under the guise of peacekeeping would be a serious detriment to the peace of the region and create a possible flashpoint. For the same reasons, peace talks hosted by a nation in the SDL could not be taken seriously as the hosting nation would have a considerable bias. Therefore, in the interest of Regional Peace, the Confederated Colonies would like to offer themselves as a neutral meeting place for the leaders of Chacor and Djacor-Rysonia, in the interest of reaching a mutually benefical peace without involving the forces of the SDL or the SAAS. Prime Minister Ari Elisar, Confederated Colonies of Casari |
Posted by: Pacitalia Jul 7 2006, 11:13 PM |
In the interest of a quick reconciliation and peaceful end to this crisis, the Democratic Capitalist Republic of Pacitalia fully supports the attempts of her allies in the Confederated Colonies to host talks in the interest of continued regional peace, on neutral ground where neither the Strategic Defence League nor the Strategic Alliance of Autocratic States holds sway or bias over such proceedings. As such, we object to the Lamonian request to enter peacekeeping forces into the Djacor-Rysonian region of Chacor, since, as Prime Minister Elisar has aptly stated, such actions could provide an easy catalyst for the breakout of full-scale war in Atlantian Oceania. Since our interests are for continued peace both in Chacor and in the region, we cannot support such a request from the Free Republic. The Democratic Capitalist Republic urges all directly involved to come to the table in Tyrellia, or wherever in Casari the conferences are to be held, in order to peacefully and swiftly resolve this crisis. It is in the best interest of both the Djacor-Rysonian region and the Chacoran government to do so. OFFICIAL RELEASE STATEMENT FROM KAFRA: While our buddies over in Pacitalia and Casari do raise a valid point that an SDL intervention on seemingly SAAS soil could cause undue alarm, we fail to see how having talks over in "neutral", whatever it is they call themselves, territory would be the best solution. The fact is we have an upstart, very rebel-like sounding "third" organization which has been desperately trying to recruit any nation to its fold and that is facts. Nedalia views their latest attempt at having peace-talks in Casari or where they suggested as nothing more than their latest try at subtly insulting the SDL while trying to forward their renegade cause. Nedalia outright rejects this counter-proposal in the name of peace and equality. We believe if all parties are actually serious about solving this on-going crisis and not concerned with their own personal agendas, then we all put our personal opinions about each other aside, our differences aside, and meet together on the same team to help solve what could end up being a catastrophe for all humans in the area. Dewars Strand Minister of Foreign Affairs Nedalia |

Falcania would like to make it known that Chacor has full support from our nation in this matter. We do not believe that Djacor-Rysonia has a rightful claim to what is essentially Chacor's land, and that this should be resolved with as little military impact as possible. Benila Valens, Falcanian Foreign Minister, speaking today in the "Daily Almanac," Falcania's best-selling broadsheet newspaper, still only 12† a copy! |

Djacor-Rysonia rejects all attempts to solve this so-called "crisis". This region has been under constant oppression from the main governments in Chacoria and CCL, and we will no longer tolerate it. Our nuclear capabilities will be used if necessary. We have already positioned one of our missiles ahead of a possible test. We believe our missile could possibly reach as far southwest as Bedistan, south to Crystilakere, and north to southern Manhattan Prime. Albert Préval, President of Djacor-Rysonia |

To the Nations of Atlantean Oceania: While the desire of the SDL nations to have a voice in the current situation in Chacor is undertandable, the fact that the refusal of our attempt at helping the situation was dismissed in a number of thinly veiled insults makes this government question the position and plans of the Strategic Defense League even more in this matter. Perhaps in their overzealous persuit of the SAAS, they feel they must take every advantage. But as stated in our Charter, Regional Peace is our primary goal, and it is through the persuit of peace, and peace alone, that we are reaching out to negotiate in this situation. The presence of nuclear weapons and the capability to attack several ASPIRE nations in this situation worries us deeply, and therefore we wish to see an expedited solution. If we are to meet in total equality in peace talks, I must request that representatives of the SAAS be present for all negotiations, as well as those of the SDL and ASPIRE. In a similar situation, we could not allow any SDL force to be dispached into Djacor-Rysonia without proper notification of the international community, and then possibly only as a segment of an multi-alliance peacekeeping force. Prime Minister Ari Elisar Confederated Colonies of Casari |

The Government of Chacor will take steps to expel any and all foreign troops and forces that, if indeed deployed, move beyond the borders of Djacor-Rysonia. |

"Oh bloody hell," muttered new Secretary of State James Keller. He was reading the discussion about the various viewpoints and about the idiotic reaction of the ASPIRE members, and he had to admit that the response of the SDL was schizophrenic at best. "We really need to work on that." He sat down and composed his official response.

The Government of Chacor has reason to believe that Djacor-Rysonia has test-fired a nuclear missile, capable of destroying most of Port Harvey, into the waters west. We tracked an unidentified object landing about 175 kilometres west of Port Harvey. The Government of Chacor condemns this action, and will not tolerate any further nuclear activity. |

The Government of Chacor condemns the latest move from Túva, in declaring their own constitution and unilaterally setting their borders - which are well outside of the Chacoran-recognised provincial/regional lines. We also condemn their renaming of the city of Túva to Trèvu, as well as the military build up near the unrecognised Chacoran-Djacor-Rysonian border - which, to us, is an act of war, with the build-up of forces well inside Chacoran territory. We call on the foreign nations, especially our neighbours, Sarzonia, and the nations which Djacor-Rysonia's supposed nuclear power is reachable, Bedistan, Crystilakere and Manhattan Prime, to help us. Finally, there has been a move in the Parliament of Liverpool England to officially remove any mention of itself from Chacor's Constitution. A similar move has been started in the Chacoran Parliament, by an anti-Liverpool England party. While we would support a move in ordinary circumstances, such a move would force Chacoran Prime Minister Thomas Douglas to give up either his job as Chacoran PM or Liverpool England PM, and in this very crucial time any slight change could have drastic effects. Condemnation of Djacor-Rysonian Escalation of Djacor-Rysonia/Chacor crisis. The self-appointed and as yet un-recognised government of Djacor-Rysonia are puting itself on a train to international isolation or invasion by an international alliance. The apparent testings of nuclear-capable missiles combined with the military build up against Chacor. We are seeing freakishly similiar correlations between Djacor-Rysonia and the crazy darwinists of Atheistic Right, being Freedom fighters and overthrowing an opppresive regime and installing a new government is one thing but going on the offensive and attack your fellow citizens only because they have not decided to support the Djacor-Rysonian secassion is something that those darwinist would do. If the military build up does not cease and start back pedalling and Djacor-Rysonia does not renounce it's nuclear ambition then we have no option to support an international offensive and return Djacor-Rysonia back to the government of Chacor. We do not wish to engage in militarily but if provocation by the self-appointed rebel government of Djacor-Rysonia does not cease then Bazalonia will have no option but to support military intervention. The decision is yours, and you have been warned. We will no longer tolerate any more provocation. |

The hot and muggy summer in Khazaron was in full swing, with a dense blanket of heat and sweat threatening to strangle the life out of the citizens of the Dominion. This was all far removed from the plush halls and offices of the Patriarch's palace at the center of Archon City. Therein, sitting comfortably at the head of a conference table, was Patriarch Khara and his cabinet, sitting down for their first meeting of the week. After taking a sip from a glass of water, and gazing at the faces around the table, Khara nodded to Danielle Uram, Minister of Foreign Affairs, to proceed with her business for the day. Smiling, she cleared her throat and began to talk. "Well Highness, it seems that Chacor is having some problems with serperatists, and what's more is that these sepratists are claiming to be in possesion of nuclear weapons, much like Atheistic Right." Uram said, pausing for a reply from Khara. Letting out a slight sigh of frustration, Khara raised his right hand to his temple and rubbed it gently before raising his head. "Where does the SDL stand on this issue?" "So far Lamoni and Bazalonia have condemned their threat of nuclear weapons, and as far as we know, no government has yet offered recognition to them." replied Danielle. Khara nodded. "Make known our official condemnation of these sepratists threatening nuclear weapons, but other than that I want us to wait and see how this situation develops. Encourage the Chacorans and sepratists to seek a peaceful resolution through dialogue." Danielle jotted down the notes and then looked up quickly. "One more thing though. The third alliance has mad a move into the situation, and there is even rumors that the sepratists wish to seek membership into the SAAS." "Well, tell the members of ASPIRE that we will back any effort, by any party, to help resolve this situation with peace and equality. We have nothing to fear from that. Furthermore, I want Foreign Intelligence keeping an eye on the attempts to contact and get involved with the SAAS, the last thing we need are agitated autocrats with nukes." said Khara. All present nodded in agreement. |

"After a lull in tensions lasting weeks, we are getting wire reports from Trèvu that the Chacoran military has begun air strikes on the city, which, ironically enough, the Chacoran government still considers its own, as Túva. There are so far no reports of casualties, although that will surely change. It is understood by us here at All Chacor All News (ACAN) that the Djacor-Rysonian government will seek the help of the SAAS." |

For all the posturing, words, promises and statements, nothing was happening. As per usual, Atlantian Oceania talked while rockets were fired and explosions set off. The Strategic Alliance had sat back and watched, admittedly, but theirs was a position of careful consideration and preparation, rather than chins wagging for their own sake. Now, however, with Chacor forced to take a military course, was their time for action. Though the flower of Starblaydia's army - the T-7 Gilgamesh Main Battle Tank - would have to wait for another conflict on another day, the vehicles of the 2nd Armoured Cavalry Squadron would soon be in use for something other than training. The Gill drivers would get their experience of taking Challenger II tanks onto another nation's soil. They were being packed into the Blitz-class Landing craft, their helicopters loaded onto transport ships of their own. Even as the bombs fell from Chacoran planes into Trèvu/Túva, Starblaydi landing forces were leaving Samosisos under the guidance of the Atlantis battlefleet. With the Pacifica battlefleet also in action on the other side of the region, Starblaydi naval assets, for the moment, were being stretched further than they had been in years. The logistics were keeping up with two widely seperated operations at once but, as ever, there were lessons being learned that would put Starblaydia's armed forces in good stead should the need arise. ***** Secret Message From: Lord Isaac Chisoko To: Albert Préval, Trèvu Re: Aid Sir, Starblaydia hears your call and will respond. A fleet and troops are on their way to our new friends in need, and airborne assets will meet them at your border. Chacor will no longer bomb your city, otherwise they shall answer to us. Starblaydia Triumphant ***** Open Message to Atlantian Oceania From: Lord Ricardo Gomez Re: Djacor-Rysonia situation The fledgling nation of Djacor-Rysonia has called directly upon the Strategic Alliance for help in seceeding from their parent nation, who they can no longer call themselves citizens of. Starblaydia, as other nations, deplores the use of nuclear weapons and requests that Djacor-Rysonia immediately ceases all nuclear testing: this is a condition upon the Alliance's aid. Chacor will cease firing on a nation now under the protection of the Strategic Alliance, or shall be considered in an open state of war against said Alliance. Neighbouring nations need also fear not over the Starblaydi fleet presently moving towards Djacor-Rysonia: Starblaydia has no interest in region-wide war over such a paltry sum as Djacor-Rysonia. Peace in this region will be maintained. On behalf of Lady-Protector Viannor Starblayde Lord Ricardo Gomez, Minister of Communications, Protectorate of Starblaydia, Starblaydia Triumphant |

The Chacoran government reject the Starblaydi claim and recognition of independence for Djacor-Rysonia. They are but a territory of Chacor, as laid out in our constitution, there are ways of seceding - and unilaterally declaring independence is not one of them. This aggressive move will not be tolerated, and the Chacoran Government has asked the SDL to step in. Spokesman Prime Minister's Office Chacor |

The tanks, Challenger IIs, were finished rolling off their landing craft, covered from above by ground-attack and air-superiority aircraft, flanked by both foot and mechanised infantry and army helicopters. More were on the way as Starblaydia's action into Djacor-Rysonia continued. "What do you mean, 'we don't have any HESH rounds for our Challengers'?" Major General Carlos Nogueira was not a happy man. His prize tank assests had no high-explosive rounds to decimate other enemy tanks, they were limited to an over-supply of Sabot rounds instead. Still useful, but not quite as effective - or spectacular. "General," his aide de camp replied, a little nerviously, "the shipment of High Explosive Squash Head rounds was put on a cargo ship for Atheistic Right by mistake. It's somewhere past Krytenia right now." "Crap." The General spat, but his Captain was used to that. "We can survive well enough without the HESH, but I'd rather have it than not." Just then a signal came through. The General's makeshift command post - in actuality a tent surrounded by sandbags and camouflage - was nearby the main Communications tower - also hastily erected - and signals were diverted to the General's post.
With an entire Armoured Cavalry Regiment, with adequate support, at his fingertips, General Nogueira was fully prepared. He picked up an appropriately-linked military phone and spoke into it. "Men of the Second Armoured Cavalry Regiment, and the men and women that are in supporting roles: why we are here is now revealed to us. Djacor-Rysonia is, as Atheistic Right, a serious and immediate threat to the peace and security of Atlantian Oceania. Chacor has not been able to deal with this breakaway clan, not with their trifling military assets. It has come to us to pacify this state before they can do any serious damage. Let us keep the peace. Good hunting." <General, Sir,> it was the voice of his leading Major over the net, Major Jerome "Jerry" Vazquez, commanding the Challengers, <we ain't Peacekeepers, we're Peacemakers. Let's go to war, boys.> ***** <... Good hunting.> The message from their Major General had gone out, encrypted, over all nets for the forces involved in Operation Emperor. Just one of these assets was a pair of C-130 Hercules Aircraft, flanked by one of the most top-secret Starblaydi fighter craft - the A-14 Gryphon. Four of these stealthy, tailless ground-attack aircraft flew in a loose formation behind the two cargo planes, which themselves carried over a hundred and twenty elite paratroopers. More conventional forces were soon to be delivered by air and arrive by road - if the expected assault went as planned - but this 'airhead' assault on Trèvu's main airport was the first key mission. Djacor-Rysonia forces were simply expecting the Hercules craft to land and have troops secure the airport against Chacoran agression. That was before the bombs from the A-14s fell. Amidst the destruction, the C-130s disgorged their cargo, one hundred and twenty-eight elite light infantry, ready to take the airport for their own. |

The bombing was furious, and the mainly pro-Chacor residents of Trèvu (Tùva) were scared. Really scared. Electricity had gone out from the bombing raids; the only news source was battery-powered radios. Neighbours often gathered in single apartments to share a radio. The feed wasn't particularly good. "*crackle* Strablaydi forces *crackle*-ve destroyed the *Crackle* main *crackle*-rport of the city of Tùva... bombs... civilian deaths reported to be at least 14... Djacor-Rysonian military unable to *crackle* deal with aggressors... Chacoran border guards near the *Crackle*Ryloss border seemingly spared for now..." By the next morning, the airport was completely in the hands of the paratroopers. And the Djacor-Rysonians had a another problem on their hands. Starblaydia had now advanced onto their strategic military positions. |

The face of http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Lady_Viannor appeared on the screen, powerfully staring straight out of the camera to every man, woman or child that saw the transmission. Sent live through all the Starblaydi networks, transmitted to every major news broadcaster in the region, it was also broadcasted on all channels over Djacor-Rysonia by Starblaydi comminucations and intelligence aircraft. "Greetings, fellow inhabitants of Atlantian Oceania," her voice was steady and cold-hearted, "yesterday, Starblaydi armed forces began an assault on the rebellious 'nation' of Djacor-Rysonia, in an action designed to maintain peace throughout the region. This new, breakaway nation has been testing nuclear weapons off their coast, and have missiles that could threaten half the region. Starblaydia will not stand for this, as it does not stand for the agression of Atheistic Right. "Worse for Albert Préval and his new 'Republic', they wished to stand behind some of the greatest and oldest nations in the region, to call upon us like some security force to shield them from the consquences of their actions. Nuclear weapons have their consequences, and this is it. "Starblaydi forces shall pacify Djacor-Rysonia and strip them of their weapons of mass destruction. Albert Préval shall be brought to Chacoran justice and peace will return to this region." |

The tanks of the 2nd Armoured Cavalry Regiment were performing admirably, supported by their Warrior APCs, which numbered nearly four hundred, the two hundred and fifty main battle tanks, each weighing in at over sixty tons, rolled inexorably over Djacor-Rysonian soil. Against the unwary and often unprepared defenders, the Challenger IIs were practically unstoppable, bursting bunkers, tanks and other vehicles with connsumate ease. The first real objective was the airport of Trèvu/Túva, to which they now sped. Elsewhere, however, more covert missions were in progress. KERES agents, conducting Operation Legacy, were searching out waterworks and water treatment plants - in some cases they were simply finding a link to the mains supply and adding their deadly cargo to it. With feint attacks designed and co-ordinated to draw defenders away from such water facilities, KERES agents, working at night, often had little or no real opposition as they infused Djacor-Rysonia's drinking supply with the deadly Quirrithian Plague. One of the few places in the region that was not immunised against the virus, they would soon feel its effects. |

... Also Starblaydia has invaded Djacor-Rysonia because of their nuclear weapons program. However, we in the Milchamian have good cause to beleive that all Starblaydia wants is more power to be able to bully around smaller countries and use the SAAS as a shield of smaller country to shield them from any real strike. Therefore not only do we support Djacor-Rysonia but we also support any other countries that which to help us stop the Starblaydian menace before they take over all of Atlantian Oceania or start an Atlantian Oceanian war. This has been Tim Gonnenberg. Good night. |

"Nope, well we can't put them in Djacor-Rysonnia." "Why not? we're the government." "Its not a conflict of ours yet." "Declare war on the invaders and send in the troops now." "Are you sure sir? you're declaring war on Starblaydia. This could lead to nukes." "Ok, no decleration of war but get some mercenaries." "We have mercenaries, don't worry." OOC: Presume this is taking place after the Kafra meeting. This is madness. What the -explicitive removed- are they doing, thought Dewars Strand to himself, once again appointed Foreign Minister. The Milchamans, Nedalia's western neigbor across the Channel, were sending in some kind of troops in Djacor-Rysonnia, presumably to defend the country that never was. The leaders of the SDL, apparently the only sane ones of the AO, had meet in Kafra recently discussing ways to bring the Chacorian mess to end diplomatically. Then Starblaydia went and destroyed Djacor-Rysonnia and basically made the whole discussion mute. Just to make sure that things really, really became disco funky, Milchama were sending in what seemed like mercenaries, knowing their ways, to fight alongside them against Starblaydia, defending a country which wasn't even recognized and contained nuclear weapons. What the -explicitive removed-! Strand sighed, put his hand on his face and elbows on his desk. Where was Andrew Bren when you needed him. The fact remained, Strand knew he was re-elected by the Dala'a administration as a sign of respect for Bren, not for her admiration for the man who ran against her. Once the 2nd most powerful man in Nedalia, and only advisor to the President as well as best friend, his status was only symbolic now. On top of all that, the region was falling to pieces. War was coming, sooner or later. He hoped that Dala'a had enough sense to make sure it didn't hit the shores of Nedalia. He called up Dala'a and asked her if she had gotten the Milchaman message, which she had. It seemed now the SDL had no choice but to send multi-national force to Chacor, but Dala'a was insisting it be an SDL-ASPIRE coalition force. The response, however, had not yet come. |

President Lauir shuddered as the image of Lady Viannor finally faded off of the screen. "That is one creepy bitch." He could hear the footsteps of the over-zealous aides scrambling down the hallways. As an afterthought, he locked his door and retreated into his private study. He called his secretary, Allison Krauss from the foyer. "Allie, I need you really quick, hun." The buxom woman rushed in, licking her lips in the usual anticipation of Adonis' 'needs'. She would be disappointed. "Contact Viannor, I know there has to be more brewing below the surface than has been let on thus far. Also, begin assembling a few special forces units to begin to... pacify the situation. We need to begin military maneuvers, but keep it on the lower levels. I don't want the rest of the region to know that this sleeping giant is beginning to wake." With that, he exited again into his room to enter another alcohol induced coma.

Chacor announces new security warning system, initial level set to "High" The Government of Chacor has, in an emergency sitting of Parliament, passed a new law that creates a special security task force, along with a new security warning system, designed to, in the words of the bill, "effectively counter any and all attempts, be they political or civil, terrorist-in-nature or otherwise, to disable, either temporarily or permanently, or damage, either temporarily or permanently, the Government of Chacor, the safety of the nation, the people of Chacor or the relevant governmental or law-enforcement bodies of Chacor." The levels are, Level 1/Alert - this is the mandatory level at all times. It calls on people to "be on their guard for any possible attack. Evacuations may be necessary in 48 hours." Level 2/Raised - the Raised level is issued when law enforcement is actively involved in a potential situation. The official wording notes that "an attack is expected sometime soon. Evacuations may be necessary within 36 hours." Level 3/Warning - the Warning level is issued when law enforcement or the Government believes a significant attempt at an attack is in the closing stages of planning and execution may be imminent. The wording states that "an attack is highly likely in the near future. All residents and citizens are urged to take the necessary precautions and stock up on food supplies. Bomb or air raid shelters may be needed as the circumstances warrant. Evacuations may be necessary within 24 hours." Level 4/Medium and Level 5/High - the Medium and High levels are issued only when the attack being dealt with is a politically-motivated war or attack, and the Medium is issued when it is expected within 72-96 hours. High is issued when it is expected within 24 hours, or is ongoing. Bomb shelters are required by law to be open 24 hours a day for as long as necessary. The wording officially states that "Evacuations may be necessary within twelve hours or may already be mandatory. All members of the public should take shelter, preferably in bomb or air raid shelters." Schools will be closed on issuance of level 4. Level 4/Severe and Level 5/Emergency - these are only issued when the attack dealt with is a civil revolt or a terrorist attack. Level 4 is issued when this revolt or attack is highly expected, although it may not happen. The wording warns that "death and destruction may be imminent, and members of the public should do their utmost to help law enforcement weed out potential trouble." Level 5 is issued when the revolt is ongoing, or it is in the aftermath of a revolt or attack, and cleaning the mess up has begun. The wording reminds the public that "while in the process of rebuilding, another attack may be in the works to further cripple the nation. All members of the public are to remain vigilant and continue to help law enforcement weed out potential trouble. They should also, as far as possible, stay indoors." Schools will be closed on issuance of level 5. With the issuance of a High warning, the government cited the ongoing bombing in Djacor-Rysonia as the reason. All schools and non-essential services within a 100-kilometre radius from the Djacor-Rysonia territorial border will be closed. |

OOC: LE, the 'ongoing bombing' is nothing of the sort, it was only four attack planes hitting the airport before the airborne troops went in. The Armoured Cavalry unit rolling back and forth across D-R does have aerial ground-attack support, but painting it as a bombing campaign is quite incorrect. IC: Ducks in a barrel, candy from a baby, turkey-shoot, simple as A-B-C, easy as 1-2-3. What littlke resistance the 'forces' of Djacor-Rysonia were willing to put up had been crumbling with every passing day. All that was really left were huddled groups of frightened citizens who still called themselves Chacorans. Préval had played his game of thrones and he was about to be checkmated, assuming he didn't die of a plague, first. Black-clad, sunglass-wearing female operatives had been in the wake of the push by the Armoured Cav, silently going about their mission - Operation Legacy - with deadly efficiency. There was enough of the fatal virus in the Djacor-Rysonian water system to contaminate the entire county. The VOIA had not been in effect here, and 'President' Préval had been far too busy dreaming of the Strategic Alliance to get involved in vaccination programmes, assuming he had even heard of the virus before the Crosaibi Council's terrifying press release. Two objectives were left as the combined Emperor-Legacy Operation wound down. Préval was to be captured - preferably alive - and the people of Djacor-Rysonia would die of Quirrithian Plague. All of them. |

An open statement from the government of Casari: We are rather disheartened at the fact that no nations feel that endlessly repeating the same course of action across the region under the pretense of "peacekeeping actions" is a constant, reoccuring problem that not only harms relations within the reason, but moreso, our ability to trust one another's actions. In this situation in particular, we would not expect Starblaydia to accept any discussions that would make some stride for regional peace, as, of course, the constant "threat of nuclear weapons" provides them with every excuse, according to general consensus of everyone else, to invade any nation in the region. Particularly in this latest case, where there was no actual nuclear test, merely posturing over the possession of a nuclear weapon of which we have no idea the destructive power of, no evidence over the capabilities of any delivery system other than the announcement by the government of Chacor that "A nuclear missle was fired." The missle was only labeled as an "unidentified object" in Chacoran announcements to the rest of the region, with no positive identification that the object was capable of carrying a nuclear weapon in the first place. We also have no idea even of the amount of popular support that the Djacoran liberation movement had before it was made out to be a regional threat. Based on all recent actions, the Government of Casari feels that it has no reason to trust any statement made by either Chacor or Starblaydia in this matter. Moreso, the nation of Casari would, at this point, willingly participate in any multinational effort to counter the Starblaydian offensive and see the possability for an actual liberation of Djacor-Rysonia, as unlikely as it seems at this point, from the nation of Chacor, who seems more than comfortable in seeing a Starblaydian offensive destory people who they still claim to be their own. "Who knew the moron gene could be so prevailent so close to our own nation," Lord Carlito Orfosi, Minister of Defence, was now taking the time to see the military analysts' thoughts on a invasion of Casaran soil, "how often does one little island nation offer help in confronting forces of its larger, more powerful neighbour?" "Prime Ministers always have something to say, that's why they're there." Viannor's statements in the Inner Council meetings always commanded attention. "We chopped the head of the snake off with Latao, then Atheistic Right, and now we're doing it to this silly little Preval spod," Orfosi counted them off on his fingers, "what about we do it to this Elisar?" "Don't be foolish," Viannor said calmly, "we're not quite ready for that yet. And besides, as weak as ASPIRE are, there's no point in a war with them as the SDL would surely side with them. All that over one little PM's whining about the way we police the region? We're one of the oldest, largest, most-powerful and most-important nations in the region, while they're just some fools who collude with other cheating bastards to take our World Cup from us, right?" All were in agreement, naturally. "Just place them," she continued, "on our Untrusted Nations list. That'll do for now, Elissar will be in good company with Stone, Khara, Dala'a, Vyntra and the like." |

"HOW DID WE LOSE!? TELL ME NOW!" "We sent mercenaries and the Starblaydians payed them money to capture Preval and they did just that. I told we sent you the best mercenaries they are really really good." "Couldn't you have gotten better troops?" "Not without declaring war on Starblaydia which would have been dumb." "Well did we send any real troops along." "Yeh they did a good job and even were about to re capture Preval and continue the campaign in the mountains with the nukes." "Did they at least come back with the nukes." "Yes they did." "Sweet." "I just realized that they are called Starblaydis." "Really shoot." "Do these Starblaydis know that we have the nukes?" "No." "Ok, so then what are they disarming?" "Nukes." "Explain" "They are non-functional nuclear weapons but they still are nukes." "Ok" "Good work then" "We just increased our nuclear arsenal by 10 weapons" "Excellent." |

"Peacemakers, roll out." Operation Emperor was over. Djacor-Rysonia was returning to Chacoran control as Chacoran police and military units were moving in to their former territory now that the regime headed by Albert Prèval was in total disarray. What few forces he'd won to his cause had been decimated by well-trained, well-equipped and well-motivated troops in modern armour. Only the most minor of casualties had been inflicted on the Starblaydis, with the two Challengers that met their doom actually being disabled by friendly fire of one sort of another. Emperor was just the tip of the sword, however, the real operation behind things was Legacy. The ancient and deadly Quirrithian Plague had been introduced directly into the water supplies of people that were completely unvaccinated against the disease. It had spead quickly, and deadly, and as Chacoran troops took over Starblaydi-controlled positions to prevent any power vacuum, the newly-christened Peacemakers had returned to their landing ships, triumphant once more. |
