This is for all OOC (out-of-character) chat for the 'Blood and Fire in the Fatherland' thread, where Latao is being attacked. Can we please keep the story in the IC (in-character) thread, http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=643, and the conversation and dicussion in this one.

To repeat, this is the thread where the users talk about the war, while the other thread is for the story of the nations going to war. Thankyou.

The crux of the story is that, now that Latao have bought nuclear weapons, part of the Strategic Alliance is going to war with Latao to prevent them from keeping hold of these nukes and subsequently using them. It is not because User:Starblaydia and others don't like User:Latao, in fact, I think he's a lot of fun.

So, Latao, I have made the first move, and I'd like you to post your losses from those 150 bombs, plus your reactions to it and anything else that comes to mind.

I don't mind about any actions or statements taken IC. But it's hard to find a role if you remove me from all international organizations :-/

OK, under the IC-circumstances, that the political sitation is -explicitive removed-ed up and the military position is hopeless, here's my plan:

Latao starts the total war, by 'rubbering' and occuping like 10 countries, (this way we can the maximum number of players invole) while its only a matter of time until the front collapses and AORDO (and possible other allied forces) march-in to Latao's mainland forcing the government to change, which frees the way for new RP ;-)

Well, actually i think NationStates is becoming kinda boring anyway, asking me all the same -explicitive removed- over and over again.
That's why I offer the total destruction as 'grande finale'

Well, there's really no need for all that. It's just for a bit of fun, you understand. I must also state that I think Latao being able to overcome THS is what I'd call overachieving.

I don't mind if you put up a good fight, but at least note the limited capabilities of your nation.

heh, I agree, that the military situation doesn't look that good for me and I don't know if THS is pretty much 'alive' anyway.

So I suggest we bring to an end then, since there's not much more i can do is arming nearly everyonone in my country, millitary members and civilists, even the youth and old people and wait for the showdown in Latao. A battle house for house - meter for meter that would probably bring big loss for all parties.

But I think it's lame (and boring for RP) if i just surrender.

I expect some kind of allieds such as Starblaydia/Abbatoir or maybe even AORDO to take over the state and establish a military occupation gov for maybe 5 years until LAtao is independent again.

That's what proably would happen in RL :-)

oh yeah of course, the highest gov member kills themselvs, other 'diseappear' (offering new stories for the future like hiding somewhere in abroad' and others are jailed waiting for the rope.

So the way is free for a new 'nice' goverment and a friendly Latao

Yes, we were just planning a quick invasion and an overthrow of the Latin government. We will establish military rule for a short time but then plan on returning sovereignty to the Latin citizens.

Latao, you say your fleet is north-east of Latao, but that's exactly where my fleet has just moved to, If you could post an apporximate make-up of your fleet then we can get some Naval action going on

And please, no 'cloaked' fighters... stealthy, perhaps, but don't go breaking laws of physics on us now.

That claim had better be Ministerial propaganda, as no such thing has occured.

I meant actual fighting between ships - naval warfare - not some proclaiming that you sunk some ships by your president.

I think to the only real scenario to end the situation is marching in, killing the last remaining members of the old regime (or put them into jail and hold trials later).

so dictate your or orders for a new Latao.

I had no plans to march troops into a nation where everyone has an AK47 in their kitchen

Now Lamoni has blown your nukes up by remote control (he did sell them to you with little conspicuous black boxes on the side, if you noticed) all that remains is to get rid of Omsec and put a different government in. You can put that Nadia Pumia bird in if you like, just get rid of Omsec to start a policy-change in Latao.

So the decision is how to get rid of Omsec:

* Starblaydi air force bomb his house?
* Starblaydi Special Forces come and shoot him?
* His own people come and kill/imprison him?
